1. General Return Conditions

Eligibility Window: You have 3 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return for a refund or exchange.

Condition of Items: To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, unwashed, unworn, in its original condition, and in its original packaging with all tags still attached. Items that show signs of wear, damage, or alteration will not be accepted.

Proof of Purchase: A receipt or proof of purchase is required to complete your return.

Non-Returnable Items: The following items are generally not eligible for return or refund:

Digital products (e.g., e-books, downloadable content).

Gift cards.

Sale or clearance items (unless specified otherwise).

Personalized or customized items.

Items that have been opened or used if they are sealed for hygiene or health protection reasons (e.g., certain accessories if unsealed).

Books that have been read or show signs of heavy use.

2. How to Initiate a Return

The item(s) you wish to return.

The reason for the return.

Photos of the item if it is damaged or defective.
Our team will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and detailed instructions on how to send your item back. Please do not send your item back without obtaining an RMA number, as it may lead to delays in processing or rejection of your return. You might not receive a (RMA) if a third party of the product is involved.
3. Shipping Returns

Return Shipping Costs:

If the return is due to our error (e.g., you received a wrong or defective item), Batavia Empire Company will not be responsible to cover the return shipping costs. We may not be able to provide you with a prepaid return shipping label.

For all other returns (e.g., change of mind, incorrect size chosen by customer), the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.

Packaging: You are responsible for properly packaging the return item(s) to prevent damage during transit. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for your return, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Lost/Damaged Returns: Batavia Empire Company is not responsible for returns lost or damaged during transit back to us.
4. Refunds

Inspection: Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notification to confirm that we have received your returned item and whether your refund has been approved or rejected based on our return conditions.

Processing Time: If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 90 business days. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund to your account.

Partial Refunds: In certain situations, only partial refunds may be granted (e.g., items not in their original condition, damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error, items returned more than 4 days after delivery).

Original Shipping Costs: Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is a result of our error.
5. Exchanges
If you need to exchange an item for a different size or color, please contact us to initiate the process. Exchanges are subject to item availability and our standard return conditions. We will guide you on how to return the original item and place an order for the new one.
6. Defective or Damaged Items
If you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us immediately (within 3 days of delivery) with photos of the defect or damage. We will assess the issue and work to resolve it promptly, which may involve a refund, replacement, or store credit, at our discretion and in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
7. Order Cancellation

You may request to cancel an order within 24 hours of placement, provided the order has not yet been processed for shipment.

Once an order has entered the shipping process, it cannot be canceled. You will need to follow our standard return policy once you receive the item.

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet the above conditions. Our decision regarding the eligibility of a return and the amount of any refund is final.
